Fun Facts of North Carolina Voting

If you are 18, a US citizen and a North Carolina resident, you may be eligible to vote!

You can register to vote if...

  • You are or will be 18 years or older by the day of the general election
  • You are a citizen of the United States
  • You have lived in the county in which you are registering for at least 30 days
  • You have finished serving all parts of a felony conviction (incarceration, probation and parole)

How to register to vote...

  • Complete the appropriate form for updating a previous registration or registering for the first time
  • All blanks MUST be filled out legibly including phone number, political party and ID number (Social Security Number or NC Driver's License)
  • Make sure the registration form is signed and dated correctly
  • Review the form carefully to make sure all information is filled out correctly
